In December, 2013, Dr. Steele, Dr. Willis, and Linda team up again to embark on another World Vets spay/neuter project. This time, we're headed off to San Andres Island, Colombia to help with critter overpopulation and disease control on the island. Follow along on our adventures!

Missed these pictures earlier

Earlier tonight we realized I hadn't gotten any photos off Dee's camera (just her phone). The photos on this blog have been kind of a group effort, with several people chipping in with good/fun/informative stuff. Dee caught the moment after I tasted the wannabe persimmon:
Yes, I have a giant Cookie Monster shirt. Anyway, we found out that the fruit is called "lulu" and they make a green juice out of it. We found this out after I tasted the juice, but, back to that fateful morning - Dee made me take another bite. Apparently the first photo "didn't come out" or some such nonsense. Yes, sometimes I do stupid things:
But then I got Coco Puffs, and I was happy again:
For some reason, we were still friends after the fake persimmon incident, so we took pictures of the city from the top of the walkway at our hotel. This is the residential side. The other side looks like a developing city - there are several hotels and condos being built.
This is our driver, and good buddy Mitchell. He has all kinds of fun stories to tell, and stops all over the island to point out interesting things, or just to say hi to people he knows. Someday, he says, he will come to the United States to visit, so we'd better be ready to drive him around our towns!
Lindsey, our translator at the hotel - the only employee who speaks fluent English. She's been wonderful at making sure we get our meal orders right!
Collette had a fantastic time snorkeling, but then the tide went out, just as she was getting her fins on:
That's it for this post. I didn't want to mix these in with clinic photos, because that would be a REALLY long post.
